2006: LET THERE BE LOVE !

Time is speeding up and, did you know that in 2006, we have had to adjust a second to the atomic clock time to catch up with it's pace?
Xmas and New Year, already flown away ...
Time for me to catch up now (:-) and wish all of you a new year full of creative flow, sharing, love, harmony and peace.
Seize the day and en-JOY !!
I dedicate this wonderfully inspiring song to our Futur, to all children on Earth, near and far, whoever they are...
I offer it in gratitude to all those beloved children who share my path and vision and with whom I grow each day: my students :-)
HAPPY NEW YEAR DEAR ONES !
Greatest Love Of All
Whitney Houston

I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be
Everybody's searching for a hero
People need someone to look up to
I never found anyone to fulfill my needs
A lonely place to be
So I learned to depend on me
Chorus:
I decided long ago, never to walk in anyone's shadow
If I fail, if I succeed
At least I'll live as I believe
No matter what they take from me
They can't take away my dignity
Because the greatest love of all
Is happening to me
I found the greatest love of all
Inside of me
The greatest love of all
Is easy to achieve
Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all
I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be

Chorus
And if by chance, that special place
That you've been dreaming of
Leads you to a lonely place
Find your strength in love

A FEW QUOTES ...

LANGUAGE

The only universal languages are music and ... a smile :-)

Use soft words and hard arguments.
English Proverb

Grasp the subject, the words will follow.
Cato the Elder (234 BC - 149 BC)

My words fly up, my thoughts remain below: Words without thoughts never to heaven go.
William Shakespeare (1564 - 1616), "Hamlet", Act 3 scene 3

Speak properly, and in as few words as you can, but always plainly; for the end of speech is not ostentation, but to be understood.
William Penn (1644 - 1718)

Think like a wise man but communicate in the language of the people.
William Butler Yeats (1865 - 1939)

Slang is a language that rolls up its sleeves, spits on its hands and goes to work.
Carl Sandburg (1878 - 1967), New York Times Feb. 13, 1959

The limits of my language mean the limits of my world.
Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889 - 1951), Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus (1922)

A different language is a different vision of life.
Federico Fellini (1920 - 1993)

Poetry is the language in which man explores his own amazement.
Christopher Fry

Language is not an abstract construction of the learned, or of dictionary makers, but is something arising out of the work, needs, ties, joys, affections, tastes, of long generations of humanity, and has its bases broad and low, close to the ground.
Noah Webster

Even if you do learn to speak correct English, whom are you going to speak it to?
Clarence Darrow (1857 - 1938)

LEARN AND PROGRESS

The intelligent man is one who has successfully fulfilled many accomplishments, and is yet willing to learn more.
Ed Parker

You must learn from the mistakes of others. You can't possibly live long enough to make them all yourself.
Sam Levenson (1911 - 1980)

Learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all.
Michael Masser and Linda Creed

There are some things you learn best in calm, and some in storm.
Willa Cather (1873 - 1947), The Song of the Lark, 1915

Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.
Al Franken, "Oh, the Things I Know", 2002

A little learning is a dangerous thing but a lot of ignorance is just as bad.
Bob Edwards

I have learnt silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet strange, I am ungrateful to these teachers.
Kahlil Gibran (1883 - 1931)

I am always doing that which I can not do, in order that I may learn how to do it.
Pablo Picasso (1881 - 1973)

Personally I'm always ready to learn, although I do not always like being taught.
Sir Winston Churchill (1874 - 1965)

I think that somehow, we learn who we really are and then live with that decision.
Eleanor Roosevelt (1884 - 1962)

Never discourage anyone...who continually makes progress, no matter how slow.
Plato (427 BC - 347 BC)

The path to our destination is not always a straight one. We go down the wrong road, we get lost, we turn back. Maybe it doesn't matter which road we embark on. Maybe what matters is that we embark.
Barbara Hall, Northern Exposure, Rosebud, 1993

Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb.
Sir Winston Churchill (1874 - 1965)
